2. WINDOWS XP AND
WINDOWS .NET SERVER EXAMS INTEGRATED INTO CERTIFICATIONS
Microsoft is
integrating Microsoft Windows® XP Professional and Microsoft Windows® .NET
Server exams into the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and Microsoft
Certified Database Administrator certifications. Individuals should
continue to pursue training and certification in Windows 2000, as skills
acquired for Windows 2000 will be highly relevant to and provide a critical
foundation for Windows XP Professional and Windows .NET Server. Individuals
who are certified on Windows 2000 will not be required to pass Windows XP
Professional/Windows .NET Server exams to retain certification. Visit the

4. NEW CERTIFICATIONS
FOR NETWORK ADMINISTRATORS AND DEVELOPERS
In response to industry
needs, Microsoft will introduce two new certifications this year. One
certification will be for network administrators, technical support
specialists and Web administrators who implement, manage, monitor, and
troubleshoot the network and system environment for the Microsoft Windows®
2000 and Microsoft Windows® .NET Server operating systems. A new developer
certification will be for individuals who create software components
including complex macros, desktop and Web clients, and data access and
business logic objects. Details about certification requirements and titles
will be released during the fourth quarter of 2001. The certifications are
expected to be available in early 2002. Find out more about the new

7. EARN YOUR MCSE
CERTIFICATION AND SAVE 25 PERCENT

8. MCP PROGRAM CUSTOMER
SUPPORT CONTACT INFORMATION TO CHANGE
Some e-mail addresses
supporting customers worldwide who contact the Microsoft Certified
Professional program with questions about training and certification will
change effective Monday, August 27, 2001. The primary customer assistance
e-mail address in North America - mcp@msprograms.com
- will change to MCPHelp@microsoft.com. Some telephone and fax numbers will
also change. The primary customer support telephone number serving North
America - 800-636-7544 -- will not change. Current customer support e-mail
addresses will remain in service until at least September 24, 2001, while
the transition is completed. Customers may use the new e-mail addresses,
fax numbers and phone numbers beginning August 27, 2001. We appreciate your
patience during this transitional period and apologize for any inconvenience

9. KEEP YOUR MICROSOFT
CERTIFIED PARTNER PROFILE UP TO DATE
If you are employed by
a Microsoft Certified Partner, please ensure you are listed in your
company's profile of certified staff. For program year 2002, only current
(non-retired) certification exams will qualify for the Microsoft Certified
Partner Program membership requirements. Therefore, Windows NT 4.0, Windows
NT 3.51, Windows 95, Windows 98, and Microsoft FrontPage certifications
will no longer fulfill the requirements. Please be sure your MCP ID number
is listed on your partner profile today to ensure that your employer will
meet the requirements for next year's program. Ask your primary contact to
update the database in the partner secured Web site at https://mcsp.microsoft.com/membership/myprofile.
The partner secured site also provides a complete list of eligible exams
and product certifications that count toward membership in the Certified
