In this seminar, guest expert Stephen Ibaraki presents factors
that should be taken into account when designing an Active Directory
structure. He begins the seminar by discussing predesign considerations. He
then explains the importance of having a naming standard as well as a domain
name system (DNS) naming strategy. Stephen also discusses domain design,
detailing factors that should be considered not only when designing a single
domain but also when extending the design to multiple domains. Other seminar
topics include how Active Directory uses DNS, options for delegating
authority when designing an Active Directory, considerations for schema
modifications, how group policy relates to Active Directory design, and the
impact a physical network architecture has on logical design. |
