In this seminar, guest expert Stephen Ibaraki describes the
BizTalk initiative and the problems it aims to address. He discusses the
issues and challenges that face business in the digital economy and shows how
Microsoft® BizTalk™ Server 2000 addresses them. He explains the BizTalk
framework and the organizational needs for BizTalk Server adoption. Stephen
then discusses the use of XML schemas in business processes, the BizTalk
community at www.biztalk.org, and the main features of Microsoft BizTalk
Server 2000. |

Stephen Ibaraki, ISP, is world-renowned with a career
stretching over 35 years. He is chairman of iGEN Knowledge Solutions Inc.,
and senior faculty/head of research for Advanced Professional Programs at
Capilano College. The
Canadian Information Processing Society, host for the 2002 World Computing
Congress, presented him with the prestigious Gary Hadford Professional
Achievement Award, the highest of international IT awards. He was also
inducted into the IT Hall of Fame, included in Lexington's Who's Who for
international career achievement, presented the IT Hero Award by ITAC and
Industry Canada and the All Star team award by EDS/SystemHouse-Datatech, and
named a Top Writer by the Western Magazine Foundation. Stephen was also
selected for Career Achievement by CIPS BC and he has been awarded
commendations for excellence from hundreds of organizations since 1973. From
more than five million professionals, he was profiled globally by Microsoft
for his leading role in the IT industry in addition to serving as a
certification exam author. His wide-ranging IT expertise
has earned him "Excellence in Teaching" awards from several
colleges and universities, with a perfect "five-out-of-five"
rating. His articles are published in major publications including Computing
Canada, Computing World, CIPS "News from National," HiTech Career
Journal, Xephon, Financial Post, and National Post, among others. Stephen's global expertise is
evident in numerous international IT briefings, his last held in London, and
he reigns as the seminar leader for Worldwide Internet Broadcasts. Stephen's
world-renowned iGEN team is the top-ranking Microsoft-recognized developer
for .NET, enterprise database, and e-business solutions worldwide. |
