  • Recognized for Excellence by the Canadian Information Processing Society, National Accreditation Council. From their draft report:
    - Each year the faculty and students elect a "Master Teacher" from among all faculty members. For three of the past five years the award [nomination] has been given to Stephen Ibaraki of the BCOP [Business Computing Co-op Program]. This recognition of Mr. Ibaraki's outstanding effort and commitment by his students and his peers indicates that the BCOP program is fortunate to involve efforts from a dedicated individual who is viewed as a role model by his peers and a mentor by his students. In 1981, he returned to us to perform the duties of Operations Manager and Systems Analyst among others.
